Hey, I’m Lauren, the hands behind Oh Nails by Lauren!
Two years ago, I retrained as a nail technician after realising that Primary Teaching wasn’t the path for me. I explored a few other options along the way (including dog grooming, which ended quickly when I discovered I’m allergic to multiple breeds), but unexpectedly, I found my passion in nail artistry.
Since then, I’ve poured everything into building this wee business from the ground up and I’ve loved every second. I’ve had the privilege of working with incredible nail brands and influential techs in the industry, been featured on a major podcast, and grown a community of over 10K followers on social media!
I specialise in the Russian Manicure technique and offer a range of tailored services designed to prioritise nail health, retention, and flawless finishes. I’m constantly upskilling, investing in the best products, and staying ahead of trends to ensure every client gets the highest standard of service.
Every appointment is personalised and always comes with a little chaos, plenty of laughter, and an experience that leaves you feeling lighter than when you walked in.

The story
of Vanny D
Two years ago when I started Oh Nails by Lauren, I began working out of my spare bedroom. Not longer after I started building my brand, I found out I was pregnant and a few months after she introduced herself into the world, we very much needed the extra space.
And very simply, that’s how Vanny Devito was born!
Vanny Devito is my 1980’s caravan that I’m currently transforming (slowly, but surely!) into a cosy, quirky and chilled nail studio so that I can continue to work from home.
I bought Vanny on Facebook Marketplace with the hopes I could give him a new lease of life and that’s just what I hope to do!
For a few months now, I’ve been ambitiously DIY’ing start to finish (with the exception of the electrics) and now that the winter months are over, I am looking forward to getting straight back into working on his glow up.
At the moment, Oh Nails by Lauren is currently running from a corner in my living room but it will all be worth it!
